I rolled up the sleeves and got down to tweaking, it seems pretty stable at 1800MHz with 800mV. When you find the voltage/frequency you like it is time to test with some games just to make sure that you get a good result. if yes, what stable frequency are you getting for that voltage? Again. In the end you should set the volate to a value, test it with stress test-software, if it works possibly lower it a bit more and so on. Powered by Invision Community. Okay, it seems you have a higher tolerance for fan noise than me (yeah, I know, that is very subjective, depends on personal preferences, case, case location, etc). Posted in New Builds and Planning, By From what Ive read you can set the voltage around 800 900 mV for the RTC 3080 and 750 800 mV for the RTX 3090. Started 8 minutes ago But the temperature is just comparable with my TUF OC (up to 75C), consuming around the same amount of power as the TUF (up to 320W), but much noisier at stock fan speeds. But in a game that maxes out the rtx cores like metro exodus I had to dial it all the way down to 1800mhz on 0.825v. Because if you have in afterburner 1800mhz on 0,875v you can be boosting in game to 1830mhz in RTX game like Metro exodus, which make a lot of difference to perspective of undervolt result :) just curios to be sure :) mine 1755mhz on 0,8v is actually clocks shown in games, but in MSI afterburner I think I hve 1725 or 1740 adjusted :D but it`s doing 1755 in all tests and games , soo ;) yeah, just question did you please checked actual mhz in games ? We already know that you can lower the power limit, so far, so boring. Oh and btw; can't you just send the FTW3 back and get a refund? That just seems unrealistic but I'd love to be wrong haha. For example in something old like heaven (what optimum tech tested with) I could do 1920mhz on 0.85v and be "stable" all day. Minerstat uses cookies to improve your experience of our site. Yeah I'll try and play around with that tomorrow. Could someone link some sources of getting to know about it more, or give some few tips, steps on how to do it safely, Also already done settings by evga 3090 would be very much appriciarted too (but that's way too much to ask for i guess ;/ ). Started 1 minute ago max many times up to 60, not using full gpu power anyhow happy finally. Unfortunately my GPU just isn't stable at 800mV near the 1800MHz core clocks, especially not when RT cores are used at the same time. - Less heat - Less fan RPM due to less heat, therefore less noise if that was a issue. Bonesareawesome All of these are practical tests in a closed case with pleasant but appropriate regulation of the case fans in an insulated case. RTX3090 have a few flaws. Freq - 1814 ; Temp 65 ; 59.3fps, Port royale is trash for stability check, port royal completes runs after time spy will crash in seconds, That's impressive you're hitting 13000 score with 1812mhz, since by default they go 1940+ but hits power limits. I got a tuf 3090 over here. I expected the card to be power hungry at stock, and it was, by sucking up to 400W to achieve 1900MHz on Heaven. I agree, too many people talk crap without knowing the facts. But we want less consumption with more or at least the same power! It seems your FTW3 holds a higher clockspeed out of the box and with less power usage than my ROG STRIX I mainly wanna undervolt because I want my PC to be quiet with good temps but also because the 3090 is very power hungry.
